Desi Style Katwaa Goash at home...... Attock and chach side special dish
KATWAA GOASH
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED......
Cooking oil half cup
Beef meat 1 pound
Ginger garlic paste 2 tablespoons
Onions 3 Medium
Tomatoes 2 Medium
Green chili 3-4 Medium
Salt 2 Tablespoons OR to taste
Red chili powder 1 Tablespoon
Turmeric powder Half teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 Tablespoon
Garam masala powder 1 Tablespoon
Water 2-3 cups
GARNISHERS......
Cilantro 2 Tablespoons chopped
Green chili 2 Tablespoons chopped
Ginger 1 Tablespoons (Cut into thin long strips)
STEPS OF MAKING.........
1. First you need a MEDIUM SIZED CLAY POT because this is the only utensil which bring the original desi taste to this recipe.
2. Add all the ingredients (except water and oil) in the clay pot and close it tightly on very low flame.
3. Open the clay pot after 15 minutes, so that all wet ingredients i.e
(tomatoes,onions, meat) leaves their water , stir with spoon add 1 cup of oil and cook for 10-15 minutes.
4. when meat changes its colour, add 2-3 cup of water and again cover the clay pot for another 30 minutes on medium to low flame.
5. If you want more gravy then add
1-2 Cups of water more and then cook for the same 30 minutes as mentioned in step 3.
TIP: MANAGE YOUR COOKING TIME WITH RESPECT TO YOUR MEAT QUALITY. THE FIRST 15 MINUTES IS MUST THEN AFTER STIRRING ADJUST NEXT REMAINING TIME ACCORDING TO YOUR MEAT QUALITY.
6. After that add switch off the flame and dish out the KATWA GOASH.
7. At the end garnish it with cilantro, green chilies and ginger.
SERVE IT WITH TANDOOR KI ROOTI AND SALAD.
