HOW MUSLIMS CELEBRATES EID-UL-FITR.......

BACKGROUND......

EID-UL-FITR is the one of the holy festival of Muslims after ramadan in which the muslims are not permitted to fast. The day of eid falls in the first day of shawal ( the islamic month after Ramadan). EID-UL-FITR is celebrated all around the muslim world with full of excitement and joy. Muslims celebrates EID-UL-FITR for three days. But the first day is the king of other 2 days. Also all major activities of eid is being performed on first day of eid.

CHAND RAAT.......

The night before Eid is temed as CHAND RAAT. In this night everyone are going crazing on last minute eid shopping or preparations. After doing the iftar of last Ramadan all Muslims starts to investigate the moon of shawal. Some of them starts watching news on television. In contrast, some of them went to their house's roof and starts to search for the the new moon. When the final announcements is posted on news and in mosques, the level of excitement and happiness is going on full top in the heart of all Muslims. The children and many youngsters start searching for moon just after the sun set.

 After seeing the new moon the DUA (Pray) is performed for the happiness and peace of the new month.

CHAND RAAT ACTIVITIES.....

There are various types of the activities happening on chand raat. All markets and Bazars are going crowded with people espacially girls. Many girls come to visit bazar on that night for;
* Buying eid dress
*Buying jewellery for eid dress
*Putting good design of hina (mahndi) on hands
*For Buying colourful bangels
*For going palour etc.

EID DAY.....

Eid day is starts with the Eid namaz. Mens went to the mosque for offering eid prayer while women offer eid salah at home.

Usually alot of crowd is seen on that particular salah of eid in all mosques. After the salah every muslim start to greet each other with a warm hug and with these beautiful words EID MUBARAK.

EID DAY BREAKFAST DISH....
     
   Seekh khorma (sweet milk with vermicelli)

Usually before going to eid prayer this dish is eaten in breakfast. Every house have their own specific recipes for SEEKH KHORMA. But believe me this recipe is very very delicious. I will soon upload this recipe on my food section.

In some houses only dates is being eaten instead.

EID CELEBRATION AND ACTIVITIES.....

 Eid day is celebrated with the all family members and close relatives. All the day people are going from one house to another houses for Eid greeting.

 Different types of delicious food is being made on eid day in lunch and dinner. Many people invites their relatives on this special lunch and dinner.

         

Some children also do fire works for celebrating their excitements for eid with their families and friends.

EID GIFTS.......
       
                              EID CARDS

Different types of eid cards is given to friends, family and relatives. The specail messages is being written in the cards with the greeting of eid. But sadly this custom of giving eid cards gifts is going to be decreasing now a days.

 EIDI (GIVING MONEY AS A GIFT)

Children usually receive this amazing gifts in the form of eidi from their elders. Children may bought some amazing stuff from their eidi.

On eid day mostly families spend time at home or their relatives home. Then on second day of eid people might out some where to enjoy the second day of eid with families and friends.
